COMING SOON

People and Stuff is a heartwarming, human comedy inspired by a conversation many of us are having with our aging parents:

What do we do with all their stuff?

Especially when we—and our kids, and their kids—don’t want it.

When Carol realizes (rather abruptly) that it’s time to part with a lifetime of belongings, she springs into action. Boxing up commemorative ribbons, decorative plates, paintings, 99 souvenir spoons, old photographs— you name it— Carol has saved it, all with the intention of passing it on to her children.

But when her kids finally arrive, she’s hit with a shocking truth: not only do they have no space for it, they don’t want it.

Stung but undeterred, Carol makes a bold (and hilarious) decision:

she’s having a garage sale— in the middle of winter.

What happens next surprises everyone, most of all, Carol herself.

RABBIT IN THE YARD, SINCE SEPTEMBER 2007

Rabbit In The Yard Productions was founded by Bridget Ryan and Jason Carter, whose creative partnership began on the CityTV live truck as part of Breakfast Television Edmonton. Bridget served as location host, producer, director, and writer, while Jason brought his talents as a videographer, editor, and artist. Together, they formed the dynamic “Live Eye” team, showcasing the vibrant stories and people of Edmonton each morning—from debut authors and local entrepreneurs to inspiring young fundraisers.

Their daily encounters with extraordinary individuals sparked a passion to tell stories beyond the bounds of live television. In 2007, driven by this shared vision, they launched Rabbit In The Yard Productions. What began with a single camera quickly evolved into a full-fledged production company.

With over 30 years of combined industry experience, Rabbit In The Yard has since produced a range of original content, including short films, music videos, and most recently, their debut feature film—shot on location in their hometown of Edmonton and their adopted home of Canmore, Alberta.
